Waters in and around Turkey

Hi everyone. Before I start my blog, I would like to say, there is only 1 more day before I meet my grandparents. This blog is going to be about my favourite kind of trips that we did in Turkiye - playing in the water.

Kusadasi waterpark- I went to the water park during the one week holiday in July. That water park was the only water park I went to in Turkey. I put this first because I had a wonderful and exciting play time there. I was having lots of fun going on the big rides. I felt very happy that my mom planned for us to go to that water park on that day. If we didn't go to that water park that day, I would have never gone to any water parks in Turkey. We didn't go to any water parks in Malatya because they were quite small.

Swimming pool - Every Monday and Wednesday, if the weather is good my father, my sister and I will go swimming in the Inonu University Yuzme Havuzu so that when I go back to Malaysia I won't fall far behind compared to the rest of my team. The water is very cold although the weather was hot and my dad will force my sister and I to swim fast so that we can go back fast. There is a baby pool and an Olympic sized pool. I will swim in the bigger pool because the other pool is too shallow.

The Black Sea - It is said that The Black Sea was initially a lake with fresh water but, when the water level of the Mediterranean Sea rose, it overflowed into The Black Sea. This sea is very special because it is less salty compared to the other seas (I actually tried tasting it).  The Black is connected to the Bosphorus River which is connected to the Marmara Sea which is connected to the Aegean sea which is connected to the Mediterranean Sea.

The box at the side of the picture shows the Bosphorus River up close.

There is a tiny salt water current coming from the Marmara Sea through the Bosphorus River to the Black Sea. There are less than 200 species of animals living in that sea because many sea creatures need very salty water to live in. The biggest mammal living there is the Bottlenose Dolphin.

Bosphorus River- This River is in Istanbul, Turkey.  It is 110m in depth(360ft). It is 31 km in length and it is connected to the Mediterranean Sea. We took a cruise there. We saw many buildings at the river bank. One of the buildings was the Dolmabache Palace.

Aegean Sea- The Aegean Sea is in between Turkey and Greece. I went to the Aegean Sea during my trip to Greece. We went to this sea on our 1st and 2nd day trip in Chios.

The sea behind us is the Aegean Sea.

I went to the beach and played in the sea. I felt the water was quite cold but, I happily played in the water. I also built an ant castle.

Water falls - I also went to some water falls during our trips. They were so nice and magical. We also had tea in one of the rivers. My sister and I were playing while my parents were drinking tea.

We felt the water was very cold. I was shivering while playing but, I was refusing to go out. My sister and I were splashing each other but, we were also accidentally splashing our parents. My dad got a bit wet while my mom had a lot of dots of water on her body. We had lots of fun playing there. I hope you get to experience this type of thing too.

This is the end of my blog. I hope you enjoyed it. The next blog that I am going to do will be about Egypt which is where I will meet my grandparents. Bye!

Shopping Day

Yesterday we went to the Himeji Castle. It was pretty boring because there weren’t any furniture there or any decorations there.      ...
