☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆Kusadasi,😎 Pamukkale,🥵 Izmir😮Chesme😝Chios😎☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆Part 1

Hi everyone before I start my blog I am doing a countdown before I meet my grandparents. I only have 20 more days then it is bye bye Turkiye.

We went to Izmir in July and it was nice. We went to a museum called Bazilica. It had different stone rooms that I think were used by ancient people to either put others in jail or either to live in them. It was very interesting to see the rooms but, we went on to the river. It was a narrow (more like a drain) and in the middle of it was a bridge. My sister and I walked carefully to the bridge because we were scared that if we run we might fall into the river and wet our sneakers. After reaching the bridge we took pictures and went up some stairs.

When we went up, we saw some columns. My mother asked my dad to take a picture of my mother, my sister and I jumping in front of the columns. As usual someone will jump up and the other one will be landing down to the ground but when I slow down my mother will do it faster. You guys are probably asking what was Kanishka doing well she was showing some faces in some pictures and in the rest she was jumping too.

In the evening, we went to Pamukkale. It is a hot spring surrounded by travertine (a sedimentary rock deposited by mineral water from the hot springs. I copied this from google). We went and played in the water but, it wasn’t hot, it was just warm.

We went into the water, took some pictures then came out to walk in the ancient city of Hierapolis. The city had a big theatre where during ancient times people danced, sang and fought. The theatre had so many stone seatings. Some people went down to take pictures but we just took from up.

After the theatre, we saw a big thing.

At first my father thought it was a giant dumbbell but, once my mother read the sign board she told my father it is a grinding machine to make olive oil then we saw a dirty river and behind it was a door. My mother said that that during the ancient times they believed that the door leads you to heaven.  We saw a statue of a person but I forgot who his name. He had two snakes next to him and the sign board said that he was the guardian of heaven. After Pamukkale, we went to Kusadasi and reached Kusadasi at night.

In the morning, I was so excited because my mother planed for us to go and play in a water park. The water park was a pirate water park and boy, it was AMAZING! We had so much of fun in the water and on the rides.

First, when we reached the water park, we put on sun screen. After putting on sun cream, my sister and I played in the sprinklers.

After playing in the sprinklers for few minutes my sister, Amma, Appa, and I went to the pirate ship.

There were slides coming down from the front of the ship and at the back was the stairs. We played there for a while then my father and I left my mom and my sister to go on the rides.

We took a float on a slide that was dark. When we entered the slide my dad was screaming for fun to scare me! After we reached the botton, we quickly swam towards the stairs to get out of there. We left the float and went up to ride the single slides. One of the single slides was very fast and I liked it but one thing about all the single slides is, when you are about to reach down you better pinch your nose or else water will splash on your face and into your nose. We took a break and went for lunch. I ordered a burger but I didn’t eat it. Instead, I had French fries and nuggets which was Kanishka’s food. After lunch, we continued to play.

There were baby rides beside the big rides so when my dad and I played the big rides again, my sister played the baby rides. After some time, I joined my sister and we went down the slides together. After playing we started to go and change one by one. After my mother changed, my sister and I went to change to dry clothes.

After the water park, we took our car and went to a castle called Kusadasi Castle (the name is a bit obvious, right)?

The castle was surrounded by water and it wasn’t ordinary water - it was sea water. We saw ships at dock - some had people on them while others had containers.  We had to walk along a walkway before reaching the castle. The castle was surrounded by tall walls. We saw points where the soldiers would have stood and watched whether enemies are lurking nearby. The door to the building was locked so we couldn’t go in.

That’s the end of my blog for today. I hope you enjoyed it. If you haven’t read my blog about organ donation, please do so.

☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆Organ Donation☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Today’s blog is going to be about organ donation. This blog is not just for my family or my friends or for my parent’s friends. It is for everyone to read. Well, here are the questions that some of you may ask which is who, where, what and why.

We will first start with who. Now, there are two people that will go through the process which is the person donating and the person getting the organ. The person that is donating can be dead or alive.

Donation after a person is brain dead.

Brain dead means that the person is dead but, the heart is still pumping. That means the person’s brain has stopped working but, the organ won’t fail right away. It will take time before the organs will all fail. When a person is brain dead and 1 of his or her organ is still functioning, and another person is in need of that organ, the family can decide whether they will want to donate to help another person in need. The good thing about donating organs to others is that even though you can’t save your family member, you still can save others. Other people still can live and at the same time, the person’s family will be delighted that you are willing to donate something to save their family member.

For example, let’s say your family member dies (Brain dead) when you are 36 but his or her liver is still functioning and healthy. You have been asked whether you approve to donate your family member’s liver but, you said no because you want your family member’s organs to stay in his or her body. You then see a child who is 10 years old at the corridor and she is weeping because her father’s liver has failed and her father is in need of a new liver. If you were that person who is talking to the child, will you feel like you have made the wrong choice? If I was that person, I would feel terrible and say that I made an awful choice. Because your family member dies when you are 36 but, hers will die when she is 10. I would tell that I agree to donate and sign the form. Don’t worry. If you are in Malaysia, which is where we are, you won’t have to pay anything. You just have to confirm that you agree to donate.

The next question is where? The doctors will go to the hospital that the donor is in, take the organs and come back to the hospitals where the transplants take place at. Both organ donation and transplants take place in OT aka Operation Theatre. After the transplant they will usually bring the patient (recipient) to the ICU aka Intensive Care Unit but, for me it is “I see you”- get it? I= I C=see U=you I see you!!!!

What can you donate?

Organs that you can donate.

You can donate heart, liver, kidney, cornea, skin, bones and lungs.

Why is the last word on our checklist. Why is donating Important?

Well the important thing about organ donation is that you can save someone’s life. Well, if you still don’t understand why donating an organ is important, I can give an explanation for it. One person can save 9 people’s lives – the heart can save 1 person, kidneys can save 2 people (because there are 2 kidneys in a person’s body), the liver can be divided into 2 so that means you can save 2 people, the lungs can save 2 people and the corneas can help 2 people. So, in total you can save 9 people.

So my blog has ended for today and to those who haven’t read my other blogs please read them. This is actually my first blog ever that I finished in a single day. Bye and please consider donating your organs.

Our Temporary Home, Malatya Part 2

Hi everyone, I forgot to upload some pictures in my previous blog, Our Temporary Home, Malatya. So this post is just going to have pictures in it.

This is the electric bus that I told you about last time.
The black arrow is pointing towards the lamp post at the side of the street and the blue arrow is pointing to the cables that are connecting to the poll. The inside of the bus is like this check it out.
There are chairs and some places for people to stand. Lots of buses have three cars connected togethe
This is the stop button. When you press it, the bus driver will take you to the nearest bus stop and stop there to let you get off the bus. The doors will open right in front of you depending where you press the button.
This is the connection place the grey things will connect one car to the other.

This is my platebee - my plate and my frisbee so I gave it a funny name.

Dream jobs

Notice: I hope that my blog will help kids decide their job in the future. If you are a parent or a grandparent you can show your kids or grandkids for them to explore the jobs in this world that they can become.

About jobs, there are many types like interior designer or decorators (for functions) or tailors or scientist or a guard or an astronaut. There are so many things to explore. Oh, yeah! I forgot there are some people who create things like a rockets that can reach outer space in 1 hour or an umbrella that has a fan or a vehicle that can transform from a motorcycle to a car. There are so many wonders and things that you can choose from but my dream job is a job that a lot of people already know.

My dream job is to be a police officer. Why? Because I think I am fit enough for the job, I can run fast, I can hear things, my eye sight isn't bad and when I see some people that I have met before I can remember them. Like if you see a Chef that works in KFC, the next day he isn't there but, after one week he comes back then I can remember him. This incident didn't happen but, it is just an example.

In my view, you don’t have to choose a job to earn a lot of money, choose a job that you are good at, a job that inspires you, a job that you like. You don’t have to join the job that you think will make your parents happy, join the job of your dream the job that you think suits you.

You can also have two jobs at the same time like my grandfather, Mr. Nadarajan Kuppusamy. He was working in the Air force and was also a football referee. He still goes for games now, but he has stopped working in the air force. The job that you choose must be useful for yourself not for others. After you choose the job you can't look back anymore just always look forward and ahead on what's coming next.

That is the end of my blog and I hope you enjoyed it Bye! Tell me what job you want to do in the future.

Our Temporary Home, Malatya

Have you heard of Malatya? Malatya is a state in Eastern Turkey and it is famous for Apricots . It is quiet where we live because we live in the country side. There are not many cars here so, the pollution is lesser. There is a giant hospital near my house and a lot of people go there. My mother is working there for 3 months. She is an Anesthetist and she came here to learn liver transplant.

Turkey produces a lot of apricots and is one of the worlds largest apricot producer. Malatya is the highest apricot producer in Turkey. Apricots have one big seed in the middle of the fruit.  We see apricot trees everywhere. When I go jogging I will see many apricot trees. This fruit can be orange or red. The red apricot will be the sweeter one so if you happen to buy apricots remember to find red ones. They also have dried apricots. Dried apricots have two colors one in dark brown and the other is orange. My parents prefer the orange dried apricot rather than the brown one because it is sweeter.

Well, there are some differences between Malatya and Malaysia. There are electric buses here.  The buses have an electric line on its surface to connect to the electric cable which is connected to the poles at the side of the street. The food is completely different. My sister and I don’t like the food in Turkey because they eat either bread alone or kebab with bread. Mostly the meat will be beef, lamb or chicken. They don’t eat fish or pork. Not many shops have rice so we rarely eat outside. If we happen to eat outside, we will just eat bread and chicken. If they sell pasta with chicken or plain pasta, my parents will buy that meal for my sister and I.

Malatya doesn’t have a sea so it is less windy here. Guess what season is Malatya now?  It is summer! The temperature can go up to 39 degrees Celsius during a day. Today it went up to 37 degrees Celsius.

There is a mall in town which is far away from my house. We take an electric bus to go to town every Saturday and Sunday. The mall is called Malatya Park.  I feel the mall is big but, not as big as Sunway Pyramid. The malls in Turkey aren’t like the malls in Malaysia. It is very different. They don’t have Toys”R”Us, or Padini or H&M. They have a big indoor playground to go and play in but, my sister and I didn’t go there because it is very expensive and because in Malaysia we already have indoor playgrounds. They also have LC Waikiki. We mostly go to the LC Waikiki mall or the LC Waikiki in the mall because that is the only shop we know from Malaysia in Turkey.

There are apricot statues in town too!

My house in Malatya doesn’t have an air conditioner, it only has a stand fan. But, the fan leg has spoiled and it can’t stand properly. The house has a heater so when it is winter you can use it to warm yourself up.  Beside the hospital is a supermarket. We first went to that supermarket before discovering the mall had a bigger supermarket.

When we went to the supermarket near my house on the first day of our arrival, my mother saw some plates. She bought four plates so that each of us could have one. After reaching home we checked the receipt and saw that the plates were actually…. Frisbees! My mother, father and I laughed while my sister was wondering what happened. We are now using the frisbees both as plates and as frisbees.

On our first weekend here we went to the Malatya Tabiat Parki for a picnic. We took an electric bus to the park and surprisingly, the park had a lot of people went to have a picnic. We saw people paddle boating on the lake and saw someone coming to take a wedding picture. We walked along the park to find a picnic spot to eat our food. After walking to our picnic spot we sat and ate our lunch. We didn't stay for long and after our lunch we walked along the park then took the bus back home.

Few weeks later, we went to Arslantepe. Arslan in Turkish means lion. Arslantepe is an ancient city on the Tohma River.

We saw some drawings that the ancient people left for us to see.

The houses in the city have some broken pot pieces that were fixed by the archeologist that found those pot pieces. There was this display of 7 ancient swords used by the people who lived in the city.

I didn’t go to many places in Malatya. I only go to the mall or walk around in town during the weekends so I don’t have much to talk about Malatya. I liked Arslantepe and the park a lot. My next blog has nothing to do with Turkey because my mother asked me to come up with a topic to write for my next blog. So, the next blog will be for you and your kid or kids to read.

Shopping Day

Yesterday we went to the Himeji Castle. It was pretty boring because there weren’t any furniture there or any decorations there.      ...
