☆*: .｡.Dolmabache Palace .｡.:*☆

We went to a palace which was old but, it isn't the oldest palace in Istanbul. It was built in 1843. It is called Dolmabahce Palace.  Supposedly, the country went bankrupt when they built the palace because the king took everyone’s money to build the palace!

  First we took a tram to the palace. While my dad was buying the tickets my mom took pictures of me and my sister jumping in front of the palace. Once we bought the tickets, we went into the palace. When you are in the palace, you are not allowed to take pictures, so these pictures that I uploaded in my blog are from the internet. First, we saw the antiques that was given as gifts from other countries.

 After walking for ages, ok well not ages but, after walking for some time we reached the big stairs.

Next, we saw the bedroom that the king’s mother will sleep in.

After that, we went into the dining room which had a long table and many chairs.

The ceiling was drawn with beautiful drawings and they look so realistic!

 Not long after that we saw the toilet. Surprisingly the toilet bowl was bigger than the bath tub! Then we went into the hall where they had royal dances and balls.

The throne of the king and queen were placed at the end of hall.

Subsequently, we went to a room where discussions  between the King and his Ministers were held.  It had many sofas.

Once we were done visiting the palace we went to have lunch.  After lunch, we walked from Taksim Square to the Galata Tower which is placed at the end of Istikkal Caddesi. It is 63 m high.

On the way, there we stopped to buy candy. They had many different types of candies like lollipops, cola gummies, jelly beans, sour candy and lots more. They even had candies that were gold and silver. I wanted to try them since they were my favorite colours, but I had  already chosen to take jelly beans. So, I told myself its ok if I don’t get to try it now maybe I can try it next time. 

 After that we walked to the front of the Galata Tower. We took some pictures but, we didn’t want to walk up because we were tired (and lazy). We walked across the Galata Bridge which is 490 m long.  It was built in 1992.  The bridge connects Karakoy and Eminonu which are both European parts of Istanbul. Along the bridge there were many men fishing. They had 1 or 2 big buckets beside them and the buckets were almost full of fishes. After we crossed the bridge, we decided to take the bus back to our hotel.

My First Day in Istanbul

Hi everyone. Todays blog is about my first day in Istanbul. On the 1st of June, we visited two mosques - the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. They are located in Sultanahmet Square. One very tiring thing was, we walked the whole way. We walked the whole day and I walked 20721 steps.  

First, let's talk about the Blue Mosque. The Blue Mosque has six minarets and eight domes. All of you might be thinking, the Blue Mosque is called the Blue Mosque because its blue but, no. It's called the Blue Mosque because its windows are blue. By the way, lets make a short form for the Blue Mosque - lets call it BLM. A thing to note about the mosques in Turkey  is, there is no air-conditioners in the mosque but the marble stones in the mosques are  the ones that are making the mosques cold.

The inside of the BLM is full of nice decorations on the dome and there are two areas for praying. The ladies area is smaller than the men's area. This is because every Friday the men have to go and pray but for ladies they just go when they can.

My family and I, went to a park called Gulhane Park. We spotted something kids will like up a hill which was a playground. Subsequently my sister and I raced up the hill to get to the playground. After some time, we left the playground to go for lunch.

After lunch, we went to the Hagia Sophia. Lets also make a short form for Hagia Sophia - lets call it HS.  HS is much more older than BLM but, it is not the oldest mosque in Turkey. The oldest mosque in Turkey is the Arap Mosque  which is also placed in Istanbul. It was completed in 1325. The oldest Mosque in the world is the Quba Mosque and placed in Saudi Arabia. HS was initially a church then a mosque then a museum and since 2020 it was reconverted into a mosque.

After that, we went to eat ice-cream. I had vanilla ice-cream my sister had chocolate ice-cream. I didn't like the ice-cream because it was not sweet and it was milky. My sister ate her ice-cream happily. For the ice-cream, the seller will play with you. First you will have to catch the ice-cream which is impossible to do. He will pretend like he is about to drop the ice-cream but he wouldn't. Then, when he gives you the ice-cream with a tissue, and you try to take it, he will make sure you only get the tissue. Then he will say bye bye. Don't worry, in the end he will give it to you.

On the first day I had fun exploring but it was very HOT. I liked Hagia Sofia and the playground more than anything that day. See you in my next blog bye.

My trip to Turkey

  Hi everyone. This is my first time ever being in a European country and it's Turkey. Now, some of you or maybe all of you might be asking why I am in Turkey. Well, my mother has to learn how to do Anesthesia in Liver transplant and we decided to go with her. We will be there for 3 months. 

   On the 31th of May at 3:00am I took a flight from Malaysia to Doha. When we reached Doha it was 4:00am in Doha and 9:00am in Malaysia. We took another flight to Istanbul and reached at 12:00pm in Istanbul and 5:00pm in Malaysia. The timing difference in Turkey and Malaysia is 5 hours. The flight was fun. I watched the movie SING 2 on the plane before sleeping. In the morning when we had breakfast I didn't like the food because I don't really like the food that they serve on an airplane. 

The language here is very different I will tell you some of the easy words and the only words I know. 

Merhaba: Hello

Nasilsin:  How are you?

Eyiyim:   I am fine.

Tersyukur Ederim: Thank You

      Ne?: What?

Ne Kadar?: How Much?

Su: Water

Sut: Milk

I will make an easy sentence for you in Turkish then translate it for you into English.    <Merhaba nasilsin? Eyiyim.: Hello how are you? I am fine.

How Covid Changed Our Live

 Yes Covid did change our live a lot, but what did it do? It helped us get rid of other infections. Like chicken pox or even polio and lots more. Dengue also reduced wWell we all do know that this COVID-19 can be quite serious and stressful for a lot of you. But if you read my story OUR WORLD then you can see what you and your family should have. 

I believe Covid came from a supermarket in China 🇨🇳 from an animal there and that’s why when you test an animal they won’t get the Covid because it was from them. Now onto the topic. So Covid changed my live a lot. Like when you go out you have to wear mask 😷. But when you are at home you can take it off. Plus you need to have social distancing. But what changed? The……….CARS! There were more cars during the free world but when Covid came there were lesser cars. I did not say that I want the world to have more Covid victims I just want everything to go back to normal life like before Covid. Yes there was a lot of cars but you can go wherever you want to go and do what you want to do. Like go to other countries go to Disneyland or go to the water parks with no mask 😄 and so on. 

In the future the more they open up the more people travel which is good because you can explore more learn more see more. So please take care of yourself. So that’s the end for today’s blog post thanks✌🏻🫶🏻.

Going Glamping

 Now, a lot of you( well some of you) will be wondering what is glamping. Glamping is GLAMOUROUS CAMPING and you get glamping. Glamping is camping in a tent which is bigger and there are beds.

 While camping is just an empty tent you have to bring a sleeping bag, a tiny fan (I just asked my mom and she said camping has no electricity😮19:03) and your own personal things. You even have to build it up yourself.

  On the other hand,  glamping you have everything. You have an aircon, a fan, a towel rack  maybe a slide and lots more. You also have to bring your own personal things for sure. But you don't have to build it up on your own. 

On 16/4/22 I went Glamping aka glamourous camping at Glow Glamping Putrajaya. I went there with my family and my mother's friends and their family. The last time that we saw each other was in 2020. It was everyone's first time going there so we decided to go with them. The tents over there were huge.

 Outside the tent there were two swings. The swings were quite fast and could swing really HIGH. Instead of swinging high I played choo choo train.

There was  a trampoline too. It was so bouncy and huge. Then I did archery 🏹. The archery was so fun but when I tried to hit the target I wasn't able to do it . So I went sledding. Oh, the sledding was amazing! Before sledding you have to pick a sled  of any color you want and then sled down the hill.

Then, all of us went to play at the obstacle course.

 After a while we went in the tents to play with our toys. 

In the evening I went cycling. then I played on the trampoline again. When it was time for dinner we were tired. After dinner we played chasing. While chasing me, my sister tried to pull off my pants but she could not catch me. After the chasing game we went to take our bath. By the time we were done, it was late so we went to bed.

The next day we went for breakfast. I ate slices of  butter cakes then we played for a while before getting ready to leave. We went to eat lunch together before going home.

 So today was boring. So boring. So very boring. I was so bored and had no idea 🤷 what to do next. 

Then I had an idea! My grandparents had glitter ✨ and a glass bottle of…………………STARBUCKS which was empty and so we used it. So, first if you want to follow me, take a glass cup which can close, lots of glitter and water. 

To make this beautiful thing, first we take the bottle and fill it up with water to the top. Then add the GLITTER ✨. After that close the cap and shake it. Let me show you the ending.(PLEASE KINDLY WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE DOING IT. AND PLEASE  BE WITH AN ADULT 👩‍🦰👨‍🦰👩‍🦱🧓👵👴🧔‍♂️👱‍♂️WHILE DOING IT) 

Then it rained! We quickly got ready to play in the rain but by the time we were done the rain had stopped. I was so sad. Then my sister had an idea 💡! We could play at the car porch like last time. And so we did.

Then we took a bath and went to buy dinner.We had chicken and rice for dinner. Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed it. bye!

My vaccination 💉

 I took my 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday on 4/4/2022. It was in a hospital called Thomson Hospital 🏥. First we had to drive to the car park it was at the side of the hospital. Then when we reached there,  we had to drive up to the 4th level which was quite high.

Once we parked, we went to the vaccination center which was at the side of the hospital. There was a guard over there, he asked me and my dad to fill up a form about my name, my IC number, my allergies,( which I don’t have any) My dad’s name, whether he approves for me to take the vaccination,  and his contact number.

When we were done they told us to wait while waiting I was a bit scared 😱 to do it. Before me there was another girl. She was younger than me so when I saw her she was quite calm. So followed her to be calm to. When it was my turn I wasn’t scared anymore I was brave thanks to that girl.👇🏼

When we were done. I had to wait for 15 minutes to see whether I had any side effects. During the 15 minute I was quite in pain but I wasn’t feeling sick.After 15 minutes it was still painful but we went back home.On the way home, we took a picture.
