On the 28th of January 2023, I went for my first concert. I was so excited to go there even though it is not the concert that I want to go for. The concert that I went to is the AR Rahman concert. My sister didn't come because under six years old children were not allowed to enter. I went to the concert with my father and my mother. My mom had leg pain at that time so, my father and I forced my mother to come. We knew that my mother will be slow but at least we won't waste the ticket.
We took an LRT train to get to the concert. We first took a bus to the LRT station near my house. Taking the bus reminded me of Turkey. After we reached the station my father bought for me a token. We went in the first train that took us to the Merdeka station. During our train ride we met my mom's friend, Bavani aunty. We got off the train at the Merdeka station. Over there we met many people wearing AR Rahman T-shirts. After waiting for the train, we boarded the train that took us all the way to Bukit Jalil where the concert took place. We got off the train and went to eat some food. I had a packet of nasi lemak while my mother ate the chicken. When we were eating, I also met my mother's other friend Kogi aunty and her husband. After eating, it was time to go into the stadium. Our seat was very high up but luckily they had big screens beside the stage that showed the people dancing on the stage.
After some time, someone I wasn't expecting came. Our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim came with his wife. Everyone cheered as he entered the stadium.( I didn't expect everyone to cheer so loudly) After sometime the show began. There was a cloth covering the stage . When the cloth opened everyone screamed.( I had no idea a concert will be so loud) They all saw AR Rahman the star of the show. AR Rahman started with a Hindi song called Jai Ho. I was the only one silent while both my parents sang the song. After a few songs I realized that the Hindi songs were boring for most of the people in the audiences. At the begining of every song everyone will scream woohoo.
After 1 hour and 40 minutes I saw Datuk Seri Anwar leaving. After some time, there was a song that AR Rahman asked us to sing. I knew that song well so I sang along to.
Towards the middle of the concert, someone amazing came. Siti Nurhaliza came on stage and sang a Tamil song. It was so amazing how she could do that. She sang with no mistakes and no stopping. After Siti Nurhaliza sang, everyone stood up and clapped hands for her.
It was almost the end of the concert and finally the song I was waiting for was performed. Everyone sang it even my parents. It is called Secret of Success. After that song everyone chanted " We want more" until AR Rahman decided to sing one last song.
After the last song it was time to go back home. At this time it was very crowded. I didn't like it at all. After going out of the stadium we walked towards the train station with Bavani aunty. In between the train ride to go back home, we almost missed a train because my mother walked slow. After reaching the last stop we went in Bavani aunties car and we went to a mamak shop. We all had maggi mee. After finishing our late dinner, Uncle Kavin then drove us home.
